landing Field

dirt moving is done for this year and what you see shows the great progress of the camp's landing field, which also doubles as a field for camper activities. With much gratitude to the many volunteers with Samaritan's Purse and the grader provided by the Samaritans; and the continuing hard work people from the Big Lake Christian Fellowship Church (Alaskan).

A view from the Yukon River and the approach from the south. the far left corner marks the 2,000 feet. About 1,900 feet is usable for light equipment.

View from the north. lower left shows area that need more fill to complete the target of 2,000 feet. Dirt is coming from the right side (looking at the picture).

Both pictures were taken September 14th by Shawn Bickford.

Glen the new team member

All the way from Arkansas Glen come to lend a hand.

Glen driving the smokless camp D6 Cat dozer. He says "I don't see any dirt. this thing has no power."

Fine fall spawned-out coho make a fine dinner for hungry men; who will eat just about anything. At Roger's fine dinning.

Chester & Bill 09/10/08

Bill says driving is dream machine is fun; if its not broke. AT least it has new mufflers.

Chester keeps focused on making sure that landing pilots get a chance at a smooth landing when they come in with a load of precious cargo (bible campers). Not even a smile for the camera.

Men can and do have fun on big toys. "we are almost at the 2,000 foot mark"

Two men doing a days work with old and worn equipment equal to ten men working for pay and with new equipment. What a team of two! real servants living out the Gospel of Christ.
