Samaritan's Purse takes on dining hall project

After meeting with Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan's Purse, this past week, Roger announced that Samaritan's Purse will take on the dining hall project with the hope of completing it in time for the 2009 camping season. Samaritan's Purse and Missionary Aviation Repair Center (Soldotna) have been tremendous ministry partners for KHBC.

If you've been watching the home page carefully, you might have noticed that we shifted Junior High camp back one day. It'll start on July 6 now, not July 7.

Randy Gay has confirmed that he will be back this summer to speak at Junior High camp. If you've served on the staff in the past and have not yet told Brian you intend to return, drop him an email bdarnold@gmail.com or call his cell 503.267.1002.

Longtime KHBC supporter and Anchorage contractor Gene Moe will be speaking at the Abundant Life/Cornerstone Sportsman's Banquet, Friday April 4, in Portland, OR. Gene was attacked by a full-grown Kodiak brown bear and killed it using a 4" folding Buck knife. It's an unforgettable story! This year, we hope to raise enough money at the banquet to buy roofing, posts, and engineered trusses for a 20 x 30 covered play area at KHBC. Other materials will be milled onsite.
